Tyler Craddock has joined Organization Management Group Inc. (OMG) as vice president of government affairs, bringing with him 17 years of local- and state-level legislative and lobbying experience in issues impacting regulation and governance of business and trade associations.
Craddock’s skillset is integral to OMG’s Legislative Strategies Group, a growing division within the Chesapeake-based company. He works out of the firm’s Richmond offices to address the needs of OMG’s trade association and nonprofit partners, and also maintains an office in Chesapeake.
Before bringing his expertise to OMG, a management firm that serves about 30 organizations through a talent pool of 50 seasoned association professionals, Craddock held positions in the government, education, business and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, he was executive director of the Virginia Manufactured and Modular Housing Association, the trade association representing the state’s factory-built housing industry, and previously served as director of public and government affairs for the Home Building Association of Richmond.
Craddock also served as director of government affairs for the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and was the legislative aide to former Del. Allen W. Dudley (R.-9th District).
On the education front, Craddock is an adjunct instructor at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College and also taught at John Tyler Community College. He serves as a chairman of the Chesterfield County Community Services Board and is a member of the Virginia Society of Association Executives. Craddock, a native of Henry County, is a graduate of Virginia Tech, from which he holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees.
